Extended life requirements, higher operating pressures, new environmental regulations, more aggressive coolants and fluids – for gasket suppliers, the demands have never been greater. Selection of the right gasket material, optimized for specific applications, is a highly technical process – one requiring engineering expertise that properly integrates design, analysis, prototype build, and test validation tools with state-of-the-art material sealing technology.
Wolverine offers multiple release agent materials designed to improve product performance, manufacturing efficiency, and product identification and differentiation.
RUBBER COATINGS
Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) |
Good overall resistance to standard heat and fluid immersion (i.e., coolant, oil, fuel, refrigerant). Heat resistance up to 200°C in clamped state, application dependent. |
Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) Foamet |
Same characteristics of NBR, with the added benefit of higher conformance to rough sealing surfaces and lower clamp loads. |
Fluoroelastomer Rubber (FKM) |
Superior heat resistance and fluid immersion. Heat resistant up to 250°C in clamped state, application dependent. |
Fluoroelastomer Rubber (FKM) Foamet |
Same characteristics of FKM, with the added benefit of higher conformance to rough sealing surfaces and lower clamp loads. |
Fluoroelastomer Rubber (FKM) Peroxide |
High resistance to acidic environment of exhaust gases. Heat resistant up to 250°C in clamped state, application dependent. |
Acrylic Rubber (AEM) |
High amine and fuel resistance. Heat resistant up to 200°C in clamped state, application dependent. |
